Current News


On Saturday, JROTC (worldwide/all Services),  attempted to break the Guinness Book of World Records.  JROTC battalions in the United States and overseas (high schools on military bases in foreign countries with JROTC Programs), stepped off simultaneously at 12 noon EST,  on the first annual JROTC 5k run.  The record to be beat was 110k runners stepping off simultaneously on a 5k race. 



PRHS Chamber Orchestra performed at the State Level last week and received Superiors and Excellents  on stage. Our school was the only school in Collier County at the State Level to go and receive ratings.


Aleksa Guerra has been named the 2015 Palmetto Ridge Winged Foot Scholar Athlete nominee. Aleksa has earned 8 varsity letters while competing in cross country and track. She has been captain the past two years for both sports, set the school record in the 1600 meters last year, helped lead the girls cross country team to a conference championship and birth in regionals her senior year. She is quite the active bear while also being members of the environmental club, biology club, culinary club, Academic World Quest team, PRHS life smarts team, and Art club.Aleksa has committed to Florida Southern to run for the Mocs.

The WINGED FOOT SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD is designed to recognize the top scholar athletes in Collier County’s high schools, public and private. The program pays tribute to eleven “Winged Foot Nominees” consisting of one senior scholar-athlete representing each high school.


ATTENTION PARENTS: We are in need of parent volunteers for 30th Annual Project Graduation at the Greater Naples YMCA on Friday, May 29, 2015.  Parents from any grades are encouraged to volunteer.     

Palmetto Ridge High School Station Responsibilities include Laser Battle (indoor this year), check in and check out of graduates,  and Hallway Monitoring. 
If you cannot volunteer your time, please consider donating prizes for graduates (gift cards or items) or please consider making a monetary donation to this safe, sober, and county wide celebration for Collier County’s Project Graduation!
